MeitY于2017年8月16日正式发布公告：《电子与信息技术产品（强制性注册要求）法令，2012》新增13类管制产品，包含32寸以下显示器和电视机 / 智能手表 / CCTV监控器 / 条形码扫描器 / 路灯 / 街灯/ 应急照明灯 / 家用电器电源 / 等13类产品。
公告中规定了新增产品强制性注册要求的生效日期为公告日期起6个月（2018年2月16日）正式生效。
